Mission: Street Mission – Air Force Bar Tab
Some of our staff from V2V (Richard, David & Jenn) stopped by Danny K’s in Orange, CA for a quick bit to eat and a drink when we ran into this couple. They had come in to play some pool and have a drink. We saw the Air Force logo on his shirt and had to ask him if he was active duty. His reply was that he was leaving for bootcamp in 3 weeks. We thanked him for signing up, and told them to enjoy themselves and that we would take care of their tab for the night. They were surprised and nice enough to pose with David for the photo. ...

Our mission with D.A.R.E. was to put 20-25 Active Duty or OIF/OEF/OND Veterans on the golf course to play in their tournement. We found 9 active Duty Coast Guard and 8 active Marines, and well as 4 Marine Veterans and 3 Army Veterans that came out. Everyone had a great time, regardless of how we shot on the course. The weather was great. The folks from D.A.R.E. made it obvious, they were happy to see us there. We felt welcome on their course. The tournament was a Shotgun start, with everyone teeing off at the same time from the hole they were...

J.R., I’m not sure if you will remember me but I met you when you were on the field for the Arizona State University football game with Jeremy Staat. My husband, Nathan and I are both police officers and we were working on the field that night. I think you guys went and gave Nathan a t-shirt. If you recall Nathan served in the US Marine Corps in Iraq in 2004 where he was injured twice. After the second injury he was air-lifted out of Iraq and given 2 Purple Hearts. Nathan spent 8 months in Balboa Naval Hospital and 1 1/2 years...

What we did: After a long talk with Mark we found out his love for riding Quads. He mentioned to us that one day he wanted to race Baja in the 500 or 1000 so we decided to give him a little taste in a Class 11 Stock Bug in one of the best races of the year. We took him through the steps of what it takes as a team to race. We went through Tech inspection, got him geared up and off the Starting Line. The race was 2 days combined and he got all of it. In the first 1/2 we were first off the line in our group, over insane jumps and in a pile up in...
